CARFEST – Volunteers

Ever since the first C4R-FEST events held at Laverstoke Park Farm, Hampshire and Oulton Park Race Circuit, Cheshire Scouts have volunteered at the family-friendly event, building up the relationship with the organisers and gradually increasing our involvement. There is now one single C4R-FEST event each year, the next is

CARFEST 2026, 28th to 30th August 2026, Silverstone

In return for volunteering over the weekend of the event, Scout Volunteers enjoy free access to the event to soak in the many sights and attractions as well as the musical acts in the evenings. Volunteers are also allowed to camp for free for the duration of the event, camping (tents only, no motorised vehicles or caravans) in a designated area with other staff and volunteers.  You are responsible for your own travel to and from the event (free parking passes issued on arrival) and you are also responsible for you own catering at the event (you are supplied with a packed lunch on days you are working).  Shifts are allocated when on site on a first come basis depending on previous experience and preferred roles.

What do the Scout volunteers do?

KSA, QGA and DofE Residential Opportunities

Participating as a Group or Explorer/Ranger/Network Unit

We are hoping that Scouts & Guides will be a part of the 2026 event. As a part of the team you will be expected to arrive on Thursday 27th August and be available for shifts at any time the event is on over the weekend.
